I-55 Blytheville, AR

Delta South performed work on a 4-mile stretch of I-55 in Blytheville, Arkansas. This project consisted of bridge jacking, rubblizing the existing concrete roadway, R&D concrete, earthwork, grading, and paving. The $39M project consisted of approximately 177,000 tons of asphalt, 110,000 tons of base course aggregates, 2 major bridge raises, and approximately 60,000 cubic yards of excavation.

Joint-Venture with Atlas Asphalt

Delta South performed a Joint-Venture project with Atlas Asphalt from Jonesboro, Arkansas. This $58M project widened Highway 412 from a two-lane highway to a five-lane multi-highway, plus the addition of a new construction bypass in Light, Arkansas. This project included 282,000 tons of asphalt, 331,000 tons of base course aggregates, 460,00 cubic yards of excavation, 811,000 cubic yards of compacted embankment, and 13 box culvert replacements.

Big River Steel

Big River Steel is a large commercial customer for Delta South in Mississippi County, Arkansas. Delta helps with any road building needs and parking lots within their steel plants. In 2017 Big River had a $1.3 billion expansion that covers over 600 acres of real estate. Delta performed a large portion of their infrastructure expansion.

US Highway 29 Bridge

Through a joint effort between Reeves Piedmont and Reeves Structures, Reeves completed a bridge realignment for the South Carolina Department of Transportation. This $5.5M project improved safety for the traveling public on US Highway 29 over a major Norfolk Southern railroad. The project included the construction of a new three span bridge and placement of 70,000 cubic yards of fill material along with small storm drainage improvements.

Pickens Airport

Reeves Piedmont was awarded the Pickens County Airport contract in August 2022. The project involved the rehabilitation of Runway 05-23 and the construction of a new Crossfield Apron and Taxiway. The project was valued at $9.44M. The overall job quantities include 62,000 square yards of milling, 40,700 cubic yards of excavation/import, 1,338 linear feet of storm drainage, 4,940 tons of stone base, and 12,570 tons of asphalt.

I-26 Spartanburg SMA

As the interstate system of South Carolina ages, the South Carolina Department of Transportation has been investigating different mix types and pavement structures to ensure that new projects withstand the increasing traffic brought on by economic development in the state and last well into the future. Reeves Piedmont was the low bidder on one of these new projects in Spartanburg, South Carolina. At $25M, this 135,000 ton project was set to remove the top 1.5 inches of existing OGFC, correct the existing cross slope, and resurface with 2 inches of Stone Matrix Asphalt. The project included 18.39 miles of Interstate 26 starting at the South Carolina-North Carolina border and extends down to the Interstate 85-Interstate 26 interchange.

Searcy, AR and Paragould, AR

Delta South performs work for Searcy and Paragould, Arkansas every year. These contracts consist of cold milling and paving of various depths within the city limits. We have long-standing relationships with both municipalities and appreciate this partnership which has been fostered over many years.

GSP Parking

Reeves Piedmont was contracted to perform a parking lot expansion project for GSP Airport as a part of the GSP Master Plan, which recommends $456.1M in airport improvements over the next 20 years. Within this Capital Investment Plan, a project was developed and constructed to alleviate overcrowding onsite parking by adding a new Employee Lot, Economy Lot, Aviation Parkway Roundabout, and reconstruction of the existing Employee Lot. Overall job quantities included 23,000 cubic yards of various site work, 2 large double box culverts, 43,000 tons of stone base, and 17,000 tons of asphalt.

BMW Parking

Reeves Piedmont partnered with BMW in Greer, South Carolina, to expand their employee parking lots in the summer of 2017. BMW and Reeves continued and enhanced a longstanding relationship with the completion of this $4M project. Reeves was able to utilize the breadth of our manufacturing and construction processes with 12,000 tons of aggregate base sourced from our Blacksburg quarry, and 10,000 tons of asphalt from our Duncan asphalt plant.

Woodruff Road Widening

Reeves Piedmont completed $14.5 million Woodruff Road Widening Project for the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) in 2023. The goal of the project was to widen one of the busiest roads in upstate South Carolina from two lanes to four lanes, and to realign two major intersections. Reeves worked together with the DOT and utility companies to realign and relocate the road in an effective and safe manner for the travelling public. This project consisted of 26,000 square yards of fine grade for new pavement, 42,000 tons of asphalt, and 9,000 linear feet of drainage work.
