City of Augusta Berckmans Road

The Reeves Structures Region partnered with our East Region in Georgia to replace the bridge on Berckmans Road over Raes Creek for the City of Augusta. The existing structural steel bridge was replaced with a two span bottomless arch culvert with stone veneer headwalls in a two-phase construction sequence. Due to the project being located adjacent to the Augusta National Golf Course, the time limits of construction were limited to be less than one year, between the Masters events. Significant coordination with the Augusta National was also required, for aesthetic features about the structure. The total bridge construction cost for the project was $2.9M and was completed on time.
