Safety Improvement Widening

Delta South completed a safety improvement project on Highway 25 in Lawrence County which involved widening the existing roadway, excavating rock embankments for traffic visibility and clearing trees within the right-of-way. The project included more than 25,000 tons of asphalt, 13,000 tons of Ultrathin, 7.5 miles of linear grading and 10.5 miles of special clearing. This safety rehabilitation project’s duration was two years, and had a value of $8 million.
