US Highway 280 Widening
The Georgia Department of Transportation’s Crisp County US Highway 280 Widening Project consisted of converting 4 miles of existing three-lane roadway and 3.7 miles of existing two-lane roadway all into 7.7 miles of a four-lane highway. Located in the center of our West Region, the project began at the State Route 300 Connector and extended west to the Lake Blackshear bridge. With a value of $25M, major items of work were traffic control, erosion control, clearing, grading, storm drainage, culvert work, bridge widening, aggregate base course, and asphalt paving.
