In many organizations, quality control is confined to a single team tasked with checking boxes, running tests, and verifying that minimum requirements are met. At Reeves Construction, a Colas Company, we believe that approach falls short of what our customers deserve.
Quality is not a department. It is a standard, and at Reeves, it is a personal responsibility shared by every employee.
We empower our teams in the field with the authority and accountability to uphold that standard at all times. Every crew member has the ability to stop work if something doesn’t meet expectations — a commitment reinforced annually through our ethics and quality culture training, new hire orientation, and a message that comes directly from our president. That level of ownership ensures that quality isn’t inspected at the end — it’s built into every step of the process.
A Culture of Accountability, Not Compliance
Checklists and procedures have their place, but they do not define true quality. Real quality is driven by mindset.
At Reeves, quality is embedded in how our people think, act, and make decisions on the jobsite. It shows up in the extra attention to detail, the willingness to speak up, and the pride our teams take in doing the work right the first time.
This culture of accountability is what allows us to consistently deliver not just compliant work, but exceptional results.
Built on Integrity. Proven Mile by Mile.
Our core values are not just statements — they are commitments we demonstrate every day in the field. Our reputation has been built project by project, mile by mile, through consistent performance and uncompromising standards.
We understand a simple truth: the consequences of poor quality last far longer than the short-term benefits of cutting corners or rushing a job. That’s why we never compromise.
In 2025 alone, Reeves produced approximately 3 million tons of asphalt — enough surface mix to pave more than 4,200 miles of road. That scale of output demands precision at every stage, and our teams deliver it.
When people drive on a Reeves-built road or use one of our products, they experience more than infrastructure — they experience the result of integrity, craftsmanship, and pride in execution.
Leadership That Reinforces Our Standards
Our commitment to quality is reinforced by experienced leadership that recognizes what excellence looks like. Tony Felix, Reeves’ Quality Control Director and former Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) Assistant State Bituminous Construction Engineer, chose to join Reeves in 2011 because of our reputation for doing things right.
More than 14 years later, that reputation hasn’t just held, it has strengthened.
Under Tony’s leadership and with the dedication of our teams, Reeves continues to advance its quality practices and invest in the people doing the work. That investment takes many forms: annual EDP and PAC training, regular lunch-and-learns with our customers, and ongoing innovation programs, including recent training on green products that bring our teams to the leading edge of what’s possible in our industry.
Building What Lasts
At Reeves Construction, quality is not simply what we deliver today — it’s what we leave behind for the next generation.
We are committed to continuous improvement, empowering our people, and setting the standard for excellence in our industry. Because in the end, quality isn’t measured at the finish line. It’s measured in every decision made along the way.
